What Support do we offer?
Pupils who have additional support needs can benefit significantly from access to technology. They may need alternative access devices, personal laptop computers, predictive word-processors, specific software programs, screen readers or adaptations of classroom systems. We can offer advice and assessments of the most appropriate hardware and/or software for an individual pupil’s needs and provide training and support for the staff involved.
ICT/ASL provides a wide range of ICT in-service training. Some courses are aimed specifically to raise awareness of, and give hands-on experience of resources that can be of particular benefit to pupils who have additional support needs. Our courses are listed in the CPD Directory of Opportunities.
Who can receive our service?
We offer support to all schools and nurseries maintained by The City of Edinburgh Council.
How do school staff access our service?
