The event has been has been arranged through The French institute, The French Ministry of Education and the Scottish Executive. During their visit, the pupils met with George Reid and Bethan Owen from the Council as well as Valerie Drake from The French institute. They enjoyed an exchange of French and Scottish songs, before being introduced to the delights of Scottish Country Dancing. They also were able to enjoy the sights of Edinburgh (despite the dreary weather) from an open-top bus with a special stop at Edinburgh Castle. Bikers tour Scotland for

Tynecastle opens its doors to Harvard
He will spend some time doing some problem solving sessions with the pupils. This really is an excellent opportunity for the school and will be covered by The Sunday Times and The Guardian. Cairnpark success
The football team is organised by Mick Greenwood, a Pupil Participation Worker from the Family Support Team who works with pupils from Cairnpark to support them to participate in school life and their wider community. Wellington do the double – again! The Cup Final, played at the Warout Stadium, Glenrothes against a team from a Glasgow School, St John’s Springboig was a tense affair with a 'backs to the wall' performance from the whole team to hold on to a 2 – 1 lead. First half goals from Erskine and Cartwright gave the Welly a comfortable half time lead but a goal back by St John’s in the second half led to a nerve wracking finish for all concerned. Head of School, John Mackie said "This was a magnificent effort by
the whole squad this season but special credit must go to our coach Keith
Jamieson and his little helper, James Welch and to our inspirational
captain, Jamie Erskine. I couldn’t be more pleased for the team and the
credit which they bring to the school by their exemplary behaviour both on
and off the pitch". Team Talk The latest version of the Chief Executive’s monthly update, Team Talk, is now available. This month’s issue focuses on the 'Inspiring Capital' brand, which will be used to promote Edinburgh and its surrounding area as a place to do business, to live in, to study in and to visit. Team Talk also provides an update on the Council Review 2007, the G8 Summit which is being held from 6 - 8 July and the new Enterprise Finance Oracle system.
