As part of the authority’s commitment to supporting schools to secure improvement, work has been commissioned to develop programmes of study in 5-14 Mathematics. Development work is proceeding in planned phases to ensure that the programmes are of high quality. During session 2003-04, programmes of study at levels D and E were developed to enhance continuity and progression across the 10-14 transition phase. During session 2004-05, programmes of study at levels B and C were developed. In session 2005-06 Levels A and F will be developed. The programmes of study for mathematics will become available to schools in electronic format through the Edinburgh Grid for Learning.
