Summer programme of activities

Adult education programme
Our very popular Adult Education Programme offers an extensive range of day, evening and weekend courses throughout the city. Subjects include languages, arts, crafts, information and communication technology, creative writing, dance, walks, fitness, sport and courses for personal development.
The main terms start in September and January of each year, and we also offer some 5 week courses after Easter. Information about our next programme of courses starting in January 2008 is available on our website and in libraries and community centres. If you would like us to send you a printed copy of the next Adult Education course programme, you can request a brochure.
Community centres
Edinburgh's Community Centres provide high quality educational, social, leisure, formal and informal opportunities in partnership with local people. Centres are located throughout the city. See a list of Community Centres.
Core skills
Getting help with your core skills – reading, writing, spelling, number, ICT and communications skills – can help you both at home and in work. It will boost your confidence and enable you to develop the key skills to take your learning further. Find out more about gaining Core Skills.
