Education in Edinburgh
We know that your child’s years at school are among the most important of their lives. Here in Edinburgh we want to provide education of the highest quality – education that will let every one of our pupils reach their full potential.

We hope that this website will answer many of the questions you may have about the education offered in the city’s schools. At the same time, we know that this website alone cannot answer all your questions, and I would actively encourage you to visit any school that you are interested in sending your child to. Please phone the school directly to arrange a suitable time.

As well as outlining our policies and procedures, we have also tried to highlight some of the ways you can take an active role to support your school in your child’s education. We trust that you will find this information helpful.
