Sporting Chance

Sporting Chance is a neighbourhood project for children between 9 and 12 years of age. The project aims to increase first time participation in sport and physical activity, to promote an active healthier lifestyle, improve the self-confidence of children, widen children's sporting horizons and to establish Multi-Sports Clubs in local communities. It currently operates in 41 Edinburgh Primary Schools but is expected to expand into other parts of the city in the near future.

Activities on offer include

• Little Athletics,
• Kwik Cricket
• Mini Tennis. 

Sporting Chance has four stages,

• Taster Sessions for primary 5 classes (during school time),
• After School or Lunch Time Clubs,
• Multi-Sports Clubs
• Developing links with existing junior clubs.
